Panthera Sleep Research Grant

Investigator-Initiated Research Overview

The goal of the Research Grant is to allow independent investigators an opportunity to contribute scientific and clinical knowledge regarding the use of Panthera products in the treatment of Obstructive Sleep Apnea (OSA).

Support will be provided in various forms, including funds up to $10,000 and Panthera Classic or Panthera X3 oral appliances. Panthera may also offer clinical research support, if needed on a case-by-case basis, including up to $3,000 to assist with IRB/EC-related expenses.

Prepare your Research Proposal

The investigator will manage all Research Grant studies. Study management includes planning (study design, statistics, etc.), initiation, data collection and analysis, and overall investigation (good clinical practice). All studies will need to conform to the principles of ethical research. Other investigator responsibilities include submitting/presenting abstracts at relevant meetings.

Application Guidelines

All grant proposal applications will be submitted using the electronic form. All sections of the form must be completed and include the following: 

  • Contact and organizational information.
  • Investigator name and qualifications.
  • Brief overview of study proposal.
  • Proposed use of funds and anticipated Panthera support.

Review and Evaluation of the IIR

Panthera’s Clinical Advisory Committee (CAC) panel will review and evaluate all investigator-initiated research proposals for medical and scientific merit. The submissions will be anonymous to prevent bias and will be provided to the committee for review. The CAC panel is comprised of individuals with clinical and research expertise in the field of dental sleep medicine.

Recipient of the 2025 Research Grant

Dr. Changsiripun’s research proposal, Deep Learning–Assisted vs. Conventional Subjective Titration in MAD Therapy for OSA, was selected through a rigorous, anonymous peer-review process conducted by Panthera Sleep’s dedicated research committee.
